King City to Pearson — The Route We Know Cold
King City sits in the Township of King at the northern edge of York Region, where the lots are large, the tree lines are real, and most residents chose the area precisely because it does not feel like the GTA. They drive into the city when they have to, and when an international flight is involved, they want that drive handled properly. Whether you are catching an early Air Canada departure for a European connection or meeting the family flying in from overseas, you can check our all service areas page and see just how thoroughly we cover this part of York Region. We run Luxury Sedans for solo or couple travel, Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator SUVs for families of up to six, Mercedes Sprinter Vans for groups as large as fourteen, and Stretch Limousines for occasions that call for sixteen passengers and something a little more formal. Every one of those vehicles comes with a flat rate locked at booking — HST and gratuity are already in the number, so nothing changes at the door of Pearson. When you are ready, go ahead and book online in under two minutes and you will have a confirmation in your inbox before you close the tab.
The drive from King City to Toronto Pearson International Airport covers roughly 48 kilometres and under normal conditions runs 35 to 50 minutes. The standard route drops south on King Road to Highway 400, takes 400 south to Highway 401 westbound, and exits at Airport Road to reach Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 — Terminal 1 for Air Canada and most Star Alliance carriers, Terminal 3 for WestJet, Sunwing, and Air Transat. Mornings before 7 a.m. the 400 is clean and the connection at 401 is easy. After 7:30 a.m. the Hwy 400 and 401 interchange near Weston Road starts to slow, and by 8 a.m. on weekdays you are looking at an extra 15 to 20 minutes without question. We always recommend adding buffer on weekday morning departures — that is not a general policy, that is what we have learned from running this route since 2009. King City residents commuting to offices at Mackenzie Health in Richmond Hill or to corporate parks in Vaughan and Woodbridge are well aware of how quickly that 400 corridor fills. When weather drops on the 400 north of Rutherford Road in winter, we adjust pickup times accordingly. This information is provided by the Toronto Airport Limo operations team, serving King City and the Greater Toronto Area since 2009. Why King City Chooses Toronto Airport Limo
Four reasons our King City passengers come back every trip.
How Long Does King City to Pearson Airport Take?
Distance & Base Time
King City to YYZ is approximately 48 km via Highway 400 south to Highway 401 west. Under clear conditions that runs 35 to 40 minutes. Give it 45 to 50 on a normal weekday morning, and more if you are leaving after 7:30 a.m.
The Route We Drive
From most King City addresses we take King Road east to Highway 400 south, then connect to Highway 401 westbound at the Jane Street/Airport Road interchange. Airport Road north takes you directly to the terminal ring road. Terminal 1 is the first loop for Air Canada and Star Alliance. Terminal 3 is the second loop for WestJet, Sunwing, and Air Transat.
Traffic Reality
The 400 southbound between Major Mackenzie Drive and the 401 interchange is consistently the worst stretch on this route during rush hour. We have made this run enough times to know when to leave. For a 9 a.m. departure, a 6 a.m. pickup is not overcautious — it is correct. Winter weather near Lloydtown or along King Road itself adds its own variables, and we always account for those when confirming your pickup window.
Arrival Time Recommendation
CATSA recommends 3 hours before international departures and 2 hours for domestic. We schedule backward from those checkpoints, not from the drive time alone.

Our flight from King City to catch a connecting flight in Frankfurt was an early 6 a.m. departure. The driver arrived at our Keele Street address at 4:15 a.m. sharp, helped load four bags without being asked, and had us at Terminal 1 well before any stress set in. The SUV was spotless and quiet. We will not use anyone else for this route.
My flight from London was delayed by nearly two hours and I was exhausted by the time I landed. The driver was already waiting at arrivals with my name card — he had tracked the delay and adjusted without any contact from me. That kind of service from King City is exactly what I expect and they delivered it without a second thought.
We booked the Sprinter Van for a group of eleven heading to Pearson for a destination wedding in Portugal. Everyone lives across King City and Schomberg so coordinating logistics was complicated enough. Our driver managed the timing and luggage flawlessly. The flat rate for the van was the right call — splitting it across eleven people made it cheaper than individual cabs.
I travel for work every other week from King City to catch flights at Pearson and the consistency here is unlike anything I have tried before. The driver is always on time, always professional, the car always smells clean. The flat rate means I can expense it without worrying about surge pricing on the bill. This is the service corporate travellers actually need.
Booked the Stretch Limo for my wife’s 50th birthday. We started the evening in King City, stopped briefly in Vaughan to pick up her sister, and then headed downtown before a morning flight to Miami. The driver handled everything smoothly, the car was elegant, and the price we were quoted is exactly what we paid. A genuinely special evening.
First time using a limo service for airport travel and I was not sure what to expect. The booking process online took literally two minutes and I had a confirmation email immediately. The sedan arrived three minutes early at my home near Dufferin Street and King Road, the driver was calm and conversational without being overbearing, and I made my flight without any stress.
My parents flew in from the Philippines and I needed someone reliable to pick them up at Terminal 1. Their flight was rerouted through Vancouver and landed almost three hours late. The driver waited, stayed in contact with me throughout, and got my parents home safely. That patience and professionalism is what sets this service apart from regular taxis or ride shares.
I am a King Township council member and use Toronto Airport Limo for every official trip requiring airport transfers. The drivers are always professionally presented and the vehicle is appropriate for representing the municipality. The flat rate policy is important for public accountability — I can show the exact charge on every expense report with no surprises.
We used the SUV service for a family of five heading to Cancun over March Break. Pearson was absolute chaos that morning and our driver had us at Terminal 3 in time despite the traffic backing up on 401 near Jane Street. He knew every alternate and we still made our check-in window. Excellent knowledge of the route and a completely calm demeanour under pressure.
I have used this service four times in the past year for business trips out of Toronto Pearson. The Lincoln Navigator is a genuinely comfortable vehicle for a longer drive — not cramped like a regular sedan. The driver on my last trip knew to take Highway 400 down to 401 rather than attempting King Road to Keele south, which would have been a mistake at that hour. Local knowledge matters.
Our company arranged a group pickup for eight executives flying through YYZ. The Sprinter Van was perfect — everyone had room, nobody was cramped, and all the luggage fit without rearranging passengers. The driver loaded and unloaded at Terminal 1 without us lifting a finger. Professional, efficient, and exactly on schedule. Highly recommend for corporate group travel from King City.
My husband and I book this service every winter before our Florida trip and every spring when we return. The same flat rate, the same reliable experience every single time. We live near King City Village and the pickup is always precisely when they say it will be. At our age, that kind of dependability is worth every penny of the fare.
Called at 11 p.m. because my original airport transfer fell through for a 5 a.m. pickup from King City. The dispatcher had a driver confirmed within ten minutes and the sedan arrived on time the next morning without any issue. That kind of 24/7 reliability is exactly what you need when plans change at the last minute. Genuinely impressed.
