Stratford to Pearson — The Route We Know Cold
Most passengers from Stratford book the night before or a few days out, depending on how early their flight lands in the morning. If you have a 7 a.m. departure, you need to be at Pearson by 5 a.m. at the absolute latest — which means a pickup somewhere between 3:00 and 3:30 a.m. depending on traffic conditions on Highway 7 and the 401. We have done this run enough times to know that early-morning pickups out of Stratford are actually among the smoothest: the 401 westbound through Kitchener is quiet before 4:30, and you can make strong time once you reach Highway 427. We cover all service areas across southwestern Ontario, and Stratford is one of our regular early-morning routes. The flat rate is locked the moment you book online — $235 for the Luxury Sedan for up to 3 passengers, $275 for the Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator SUV for up to 6, $725 for the Mercedes Sprinter Van for groups up to 14, and $895 for the Stretch Limousine for special occasions with up to 16 passengers. Every rate includes HST and 15% gratuity. Whatever happens on the highway — construction delay, a weather slowdown through Kitchener — the price does not change.
The run from Stratford to Pearson covers approximately 156 km, almost entirely via Highway 7 east to the 401 interchange near Kitchener, then Highway 401 east toward Toronto, picking up the 427 south to arrive at Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. Under normal weekday conditions the drive takes around 85 to 95 minutes. Friday afternoons are different — the 401 through Mississauga backs up hard between the 410 and the 427, and that can add 20 to 30 minutes without warning. The biggest single variable on this route is the stretch of Highway 7 between Stratford and the 401 on-ramp near Kitchener: in winter, that road can be slow with blowing snow, and we add buffer time accordingly. Festival Centre for the Arts, Stratford General Hospital, and the Shakespeare industrial corridor all generate early morning departures that we handle regularly. Why Stratford Chooses Toronto Airport Limo
How Long Does Stratford to Pearson Airport Take?
The Stratford to Pearson run starts on Highway 7 east — the most variable segment of the entire trip. Between Stratford and the Highway 401 interchange near Kitchener, Highway 7 passes through Shakespeare, New Hamburg, and Baden. In summer it moves well. In winter, that open stretch picks up blowing snow faster than the 401 does, and we build in 10 to 15 extra minutes on any forecast snow day. Once you reach the 401 eastbound, the highway opens up and pace improves. The congestion on this route almost always begins after the Highway 410 interchange in Brampton, where the 401 narrows and traffic from the north feeds in. From there to the Highway 427 south ramp — the direct approach to Pearson — the road can back up to a near stop during peak times. For any flight before 9 a.m., we recommend a departure from Stratford that puts you at the terminal no later than 2 hours and 45 minutes before your scheduled takeoff. Terminal 1 handles Air Canada, WestJet international connections, and most Star Alliance carriers. Terminal 3 handles WestJet domestic, Sunwing, Air Transat, and a range of charter carriers. We drop at the correct one without being asked. Notable Stratford employers — Stratford General Hospital, Savoy Energy, Tridon Communications, and the production and administrative staff of the Stratford Festival — generate regular Pearson travel throughout the year.

What Stratford Passengers Say About Toronto Airport Limo
I’ve been using Toronto Airport Limo for my Stratford to Pearson runs for three years now. The driver knows exactly when to leave from my address near Ontario Street to make a 6 a.m. flight — I’ve never once had to rush through check-in. The flat rate means I budget the same amount every single trip.
My flight from Pearson back to Stratford got delayed by over two hours due to a mechanical issue in Calgary. The driver was still waiting at arrivals when I came through, calm as anything. No extra charge, no attitude. That alone is worth every penny of the flat rate.
I travel to Toronto for business about twice a month and the Pearson connection is always the stressful part. Switching to Toronto Airport Limo from Stratford removed all of that stress. The Escalade is comfortable, the driver is always on time, and I can work the entire way there without worrying about parking or catching a train.
We booked the Sprinter Van for a group of 11 travelling from Stratford for an anniversary trip to Portugal. One vehicle, no convoy confusion, everyone on time. The driver loaded all the luggage without being asked and had the van perfectly climate-controlled for a cold March morning departure.
I had a 4:30 a.m. pickup from my home in Stratford. The driver arrived two minutes early, quiet as could be so as not to wake the neighbourhood, and got me to Terminal 1 with time to spare. These early morning flights are the hardest to plan for and they made it completely painless.
Used the sedan for a solo business trip to London Heathrow via Pearson. The driver tracked my inbound flight back from Heathrow and was already at arrivals before I even cleared customs. That level of monitoring without me having to text or call makes a real difference after a transatlantic flight.
Booked the stretch limo from Stratford for a bachelorette group heading to a destination wedding in Mexico out of Terminal 3. The limo pulled up right on time in front of the hotel on Downie Street, everyone piled in with their bags, and we arrived at Pearson without a single logistical problem. Absolute highlight of the pre-trip.
Highway 7 in January is no joke — I’ve had rideshares cancel on me at 3 a.m. because of road conditions. Toronto Airport Limo has never once cancelled. The driver showed up in a snowstorm and still got me to Pearson on time. I will not use any other service for this route.
I travel frequently for my work with a Stratford-based engineering firm and I’ve tried every option — parking at Pearson, rideshares, the coach. Nothing compares to this. The SUV is comfortable for a 90-minute ride, the driver is professional, and I walk into the terminal relaxed instead of frazzled.
My elderly mother needed a return transfer from Pearson after visiting family in Vancouver. The driver met her inside arrivals with a sign, handled her luggage, and drove slowly and smoothly the entire way back to Stratford. She called me to say it was the most comfortable ride she’d ever had from an airport.
Simple booking, clear pricing, no hidden fees. The Sprinter Van held our entire team of nine from the Stratford Festival’s production office flying to Los Angeles for a scouting trip. Bags fit without any rearranging, everyone had room, and we arrived at Terminal 3 without rushing.
I compared this service to driving myself and paying Pearson’s long-term parking. When you factor in the fuel cost from Stratford, the parking fee for a 10-day trip, and the stress of the 427 interchange, the flat rate actually wins. I haven’t driven myself to the airport in two years.
Booked for a red-eye return from Vancouver landing at Terminal 1 at 2 a.m. The driver was there well before landing, confirmed via text, and the drive back to Stratford was smooth and quiet. Exactly what you need after a long flight when you just want to get home.

Under normal conditions, plan on 80 to 95 minutes from Stratford to Pearson via Highway 7 east to Highway 401 east, then Highway 427 south. Friday afternoons and Monday mornings can push the total to 110 minutes or more due to 401 congestion through Mississauga. Winter travel on Highway 7 between Stratford and the Kitchener 401 interchange can also add 15 minutes on heavy snow days. For flights before 9 a.m., we recommend booking a departure that gets you to Pearson at least 2.5 to 3 hours before takeoff.
Yes — the rate is locked at booking and does not change under any road condition, including construction delays, weather, or unexpected congestion on the 401. The only additional charges that can apply are items you choose to add, such as an en route stop or Meet and Greet service at the terminal. Traffic delays, tolls on highways we select, and extended travel time are all absorbed into the flat rate. If you use Highway 407 as an alternate, that toll is passed through as an extra charge — but that decision is communicated to you first.
We offer four vehicles for the Stratford to Pearson route. The Luxury Sedan handles solo travellers and couples (up to 3 passengers). The Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator SUV comfortably fits families or small groups of up to 6 with full-size luggage. The Mercedes Sprinter Van is the right choice for corporate teams or travel groups of up to 14. Yes. We track every inbound flight in real time from the moment of booking. If your arrival at Pearson is delayed — whether due to a mechanical issue, weather at your origin airport, or air traffic control — we adjust the vehicle dispatch automatically. For Stratford return pickups, this means your driver is never standing at arrivals for an hour because your Vancouver flight is late. You do not need to call or text to inform us of delays. The system handles it, and you will receive a message confirming the updated pickup time.
