Tilbury to Pearson — The Route We Know Cold
Most Tilbury passengers book the night before or the morning of — and the first thing they want to know is whether the price holds no matter what happens on Highway 401. It does. When your driver leaves Tilbury, that meter is not running. The rate you see at booking is what you pay when you’re dropped at Departures, full stop. If you want to know more about how we operate, our about us page covers the company history, driver standards, and the CPIC certification process. We’ve moved passengers from Tilbury through every kind of weather the 401 corridor throws at you — January freezes at Chatham, fog banks near Woodstock, construction slowdowns near the 403 interchange — and the flat rate doesn’t waver. We run four vehicles: a Luxury Sedan for up to 3 passengers, a Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator SUV for up to 6, a Mercedes Sprinter Van for groups up to 14, and a Stretch Limousine for up to 16, all described with photos in our fleet section. HST and 15% gratuity are built into every quote — nothing gets added at the curb.
Tilbury sits roughly 280 km southwest of Toronto Pearson International Airport, and the route out of here is almost entirely Highway 401 East. From Tilbury, drivers pick up the 401 near the Riverview Drive interchange and head northeast through Chatham, then past Blenheim and Merlin, through Tilsonburg and Woodstock, and into the 401/400/427 funnel that leads directly to Pearson. The realistic drive time is 2.5 to 3 hours on a clear run — add 30 to 45 minutes for the stretch through Mississauga during morning rush, particularly between Dixie Road and the 427 where the 401 compresses to three lanes under active construction. Total distance from Tilbury to YYZ is approximately 280 km. Passengers flying from Pearson should build in a minimum of 3 hours of buffer from Tilbury on any weekday morning departure. Our drivers watch your flight in real time, so if your inbound aircraft is delayed, your pickup adjusts — no holding fee during the first 15 minutes of free wait time. This information is provided by the Toronto Airport Limo operations team, serving Tilbury and the Greater Toronto Area since 2009. See our full list of served communities at the locations page.

Route & Drive Time
How Long Does Tilbury to Pearson Airport Take?
From Tilbury, the run to Pearson is almost entirely Highway 401 East for the full 280 km. Drivers pick up the 401 near the Tilbury interchange — just north of the townsite — and the road stays straight and fast through Chatham, Blenheim, Ridgetown, and Tilsonburg before the traffic begins to stack near Woodstock. That stretch from Tilbury to Woodstock is genuinely easy outside of winter storms. East of Woodstock things tighten. Through Cambridge and into the 401/400/427 merge, even a mid-morning run can add 25 minutes. The QEW approach from the south and the 427 North into the airport is the last leg — and the most likely place to lose time. For a weekday morning flight, we suggest passengers be picked up at their Tilbury door no later than 3 hours before departure.
Highway 401 East from Tilbury interchange — through Chatham, Blenheim, Ridgetown, Tilsonburg, Woodstock — then east through Cambridge into the 427 North / Airport Road interchange at Pearson. No tolls on this route unless 407 is used as a bypass.
The 401 between Woodstock and Milton sees consistent morning congestion on weekdays. The Mississauga stretch — Dixie Road to the 427 — can add 20 to 40 minutes in peak hours. Overnight and early morning runs from Tilbury typically arrive on the faster end of the range.
Air Canada, WestJet, and most major international carriers depart from Terminal 1. Terminal 3 handles Sunwing, Air Transat, and select charter operators. Your driver confirms terminal assignment before leaving Tilbury.
The 401 corridor between Tilbury and Chatham is exposed farmland — crosswind snow and reduced visibility are common from November through March. Drivers in this region build in extra time during weather advisories. The flat rate never changes due to weather.

What Tilbury Passengers Say About Toronto Airport Limo
We’ve driven ourselves to Pearson from Tilbury before and the 401 in January is genuinely stressful. Booking with Toronto Airport Limo completely changed that. Driver arrived early, vehicle was warm, and the flat rate meant no shock when we landed back and took the return ride. Will never go back to driving ourselves.
I had a 6 AM departure from Terminal 1 and needed a 2:30 AM pickup from Tilbury. The driver was there at 2:25. No drama, no delays. Car was clean, quiet, and the driver knew exactly how to time the 401 to avoid the pre-dawn transport trucks near Windsor. Exactly what an early morning pickup should feel like.
Our family of five needed an SUV for a group trip and the Escalade was spotless. The driver loaded all five bags without complaint and had the route timed perfectly. We left Tilbury at 7 AM and were at Terminal 3 check-in by 10:10. Smooth the whole way.
My inbound flight from Frankfurt was delayed three hours and when I finally landed at Pearson at 1 AM, my driver was already waiting at the arrivals level with my name on a sign. No extra fees, no attitude. That’s the kind of service that makes you a repeat customer.
Hired the Sprinter Van for a corporate group of 10 coming from our Tilbury facility to catch a 9 AM flight. The van arrived right at our loading dock and the driver had the whole group to Terminal 1 with 90 minutes to spare. The flat rate for the van was reasonable for a group our size. We use them for every company trip now.
Booked the Stretch Limo for my daughter’s engagement send-off — she and her partner were flying to Cancun from T3. The limo looked incredible pulling up in Tilbury and the driver treated the whole occasion with the right amount of ceremony. Price was all-in with no surprises. Absolutely worth every penny.
I’ve been using Toronto Airport Limo for business travel from Tilbury for four years now. The consistency is what keeps me coming back — same quality, same punctuality, same price. I’ve never once had a driver show up late or add a surprise charge. That’s rare in this industry.
Had a tight connection at Pearson and needed to get from arrivals to a domestic gate in under 45 minutes. The driver knew exactly which level to pull up to and had me moving the moment I was in the car. Fast, calm, and professional. Caught the flight with 10 minutes to spare.
My flight from Vancouver landed at T1 two hours late due to a mechanical delay. Toronto Airport Limo adjusted the pickup without me doing anything — driver was there when I walked out. I was exhausted and just wanted to get home to Tilbury without hassle. That’s exactly what happened. Outstanding.
We used the Sedan for a two-person anniversary trip. Driver was in a suit, car smelled fresh, and the 401 run from Tilbury to Pearson felt effortless. We were chatting and relaxed the whole way. Completely different experience than stressing over parking and shuttle buses.
The winter storm that hit Essex County the night before our flight had us very worried. Our driver called ahead, confirmed the pickup time, and navigated the 401 carefully and professionally. We made it to Pearson with time to spare. The flat rate held despite the conditions. Cannot recommend enough.
First time using an airport limo service from Tilbury and I was not sure what to expect. The online booking was simple, the confirmation came immediately, and the driver was exactly who they said would be there. Luxury Sedan was clean and quiet. Will definitely use again for my next Toronto flight.
Hired the SUV for a group of six — three couples from our Chatham-Kent region heading to an all-inclusive in Cuba. Driver arrived 15 minutes early in a spotless Escalade, loaded everything efficiently, and got us to T3 with time for a proper pre-flight breakfast. Perfect start to the trip.
